I'm still alive
Haven't posted or blogged in a while. I have been out of it a little.
Had a bike accident and it took me a while to get motivated to write. I was riding with friend Doug Guth on 3/31/12 and we had ridden Ceasars Head (and Doug did Table Rock too). Anyhow I was behind him and all the sudden I was on the ground and stunned and confused. I had hit my head and blacked out. I caused Doug to break a rib. My hips and neck were in great pain (next day) and I could not exercise.
Now 3 weeks later I am back up where I feel ok running.
The cause of the accident is a true mystery to me. Some buzzards or vultures or female turkeys were in the road getting some roadkill I think. I almost became roadkill. My helmet cracked down the side. I did like 75 miles that day and I was maybe bonking and looking down.
I ran into Doug on Thursday April 19 as I rode my bike. Wait I didn't run into him. I saw him and we stopped and talked. He has done 110 mile ride since but I'm only to a 35 mile ride. I'm happy to be riding ok again.
Thank God I am relatively OK after that fall. Sorry again Doug.

I was driving home after church and saw one of the "Great Grey Bird's of Death" today in front of my neighborhood!! I drove back by, while keeping my distance, and I believe that it was a Black Vulture. Pretty scary flashback!! It was so good to see you on the bike again my friend!!
